James Cowan, founded Cowan Capital with an eye to providing high quality point of service for high net worth clients and their families. He has been an Investment Advisor since 2000 and has worked for some of the largest public and private investment firms in the United States with a specific focus on private wealth management. “The asset management business is all too often focused on pushing products, big marketing campaigns, and scale – all of which is detrimental to clients. James is a member of the CFA Institute, and is currently a CFA Candidate, having completed two of the three levels required for the designation. In addition, he has passed the Series 65 Uniform Investment Adviser Law examination, and has an MBA in Finance from the University of Colorado at Denver.
